About

Aspiring Web and Graphic Designer

Blending my passion and skillset for coding, I hope to bridge the two worlds together and design using extensive research, iteration and ideation, and feedback from others.

During my time here at UIC, I have gained experience in various design applications and coding languages, including Adobe software (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom), C/C++, Python, and Figma. I have also learned hands-on design such as various bookbinding styles, using a RISO printer, laser cutting, and more. All of my design projects range from poster designs, to books, to signs, to printed publications, and much more.

I have learned that ideation and iteration are vital to my design practice. Brainstorming many ideas as I could possibly think of, even if they are not fully fleshed out, has aided me in seeing many opportunities and paths rather than being hyperfocused on a singular idea. Creating many iterations of an idea has also allowed me to see what elements work and what needs further speculation. Getting feedback from clients, peers, and superiors has also made the process easier

Beyond designing, I love illustrating and animating in my free time! Ever since I could remember, I loved drawing my own unique characters and playing around with different styles and colors. My illustrative background has heavily influenced my design practice and vibrant style, and my animating side has made me interested in blending animation with visual design.
